Jeremiah, son of the priest Hilquias was born and raised in the village priest of Record (more than 6 km northeast of Jerusalem) during the reign of king Manasseh ungodly.
Jeremiah began his prophetic ministry during the thirteenth year of the reign of good King Josiah, and supported his movement of reform.
It did not take you realize, however, that the changes were not resulting in a true transformation of people''s feelings.
Warned that unless there was genuine repentance on a national scale, the condemnation and destruction came suddenly.

Written to provide a permanent record of the prophetic ministry of Jeremiah.
His message was to reveal the inevitable divine mind, for having infringed the people of the concert and persisted in their rebellion against God and his word.
Habakkuk
The name of the Prophet Habakkuk German homonym of reference the book offers no other data about his person and his family.
Its name, which means "hug" does not appear anywhere else in the scriptures.
Suggests that he may have been Levite musician in the service of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.
Unlike other prophets, Habakkuk not date his prophecy with reference to the kings who were his contemporaries.
The date of the prophecy of Habakkuk is between 606, 605 BC during the early years of the king of Judah Joaquim

Unlike most other prophets, Habakkuk not predict the diverted Judah
Said to help the remaining pious to understand the sinful ways, and its impending doom.
Its just that on its Vivera Faith is the key text of the Old Testament used by Paul in his theology of justification.
Lamentations of Jeremiah
He wrote a series of five lamentations to express their sadness and emotional pain because of the tragic devastation of Jerusalem, including the humiliating fall of the monarchy and the kingdom David.
Purpose
Each of the five lamentations is complete in itself:
1 describes the devastation of Jerusalem and the prophet''s lament about her call to God with the soul distressed.
2. It is about the devastation from the people rebel against God and away from him.
3. Urges the nation to remember that God is merciful and faithful.
4. Repeats the previous three.
5. After the confession of sin and need for mercy on Judah
Daniel
Means "God is my judge." The book describes events from the first invasion of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar (605 BC) until the third year of King Ciro (536 BC).
Chronologically, Daniel is one of the last prophets of a. T., comes after Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi come after him in the sequence of the prophetic ministry of the Old Testament.
Purpose
There is a dual purpose of the book of Daniel: Give the people the concert, show the people of God, in the course of its history, the prophetic visions of the sovereignty of God over the nations.
Ezekiel
Means "God strengthens". Of priestly family spent the first twenty-five years of his life in Jerusalem.
He received his prophetic call from God, and from there taught faithfully for twenty-two years.
Unlike Daniel, Ezekiel was married and lived as a citizen of Jewish exiles, along the river Quebar.
Purpose
There is a dual purpose: To deliver the message of the Divine mind the apostate people of Judah and Jerusalem and the seven foreign nations around them and keep the faith of remaining faithful to God in exile, concerning the restoration of his people in the concert and the glory Kingdom of God.
Haggai
It is the first of three books after the exile in the Old Testament.
Called "the Prophet" and "ambassador of the Lord." May have been a few of those exiles who, to return to repopulate Jerusalem, still remember the temple of Solomon before being destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC
Purpose
During a period of four months, 520 a. C., Haggai delivered four concise messages recorded in this book.
They had double purpose: to urge Zorobabel (the governor) and Joshua (the priest) and mobilized the people for the rebuilding of the Temple, and motivate people to rearrange their lives and priorities for the work of God.
Zechariah
Zechariah son and grandson of the Baraquias Ido Zakariya as the story of Nehemiah was the head of the family.
Prophet couple worked side by side with Haggai.
Purpose
The two goals that he had in mind when writing his book, are the two main divisions of the work. Encourage the remaining Jews in Judah to persist in building the Temple.
Malachi
Means "messenger of Jehovah." He was a devout Jew Judah''s post-exile, contemporary of Prophet Nehemiah was probably a priest.
His firm belief in favor of fidelity to the concert and against hypocritical worship and mechanics, to idolatry, divorce, and theft of tithes and offerings.
Purpose
When you wrote your book, the Jews returned again passed by adversity and spiritual decline. They had become cynical, and questioned the justice of God.
Confronts the priests and the people with the prophetic call to repent of their sins and hypocrisy of religion from being surprised by the divine punishment and to return to their Lord with sincere hearts obedient.
