It all started way back on March 02,1962 in a little town of Sayreville, New Jersey. John Francis BonGiovi was born. Later known as Jon Bon Jovi. An icon to the world as we know it. Followed by Jon are his two other brothers, Tony and Mattehew. Tony later on learned to produced some of Jon''s videos such as "Who says you cant go home". Jons parents were both in the United States Marines. The father was a hair dresser who worked on Jon''s hair in up untill the father retired. Jon''s mother was a play boy bunny. That explains the good looks Jon got and the discipline Jon needed to succeed. Jon wasn''t shy about promoting his own material. Even Jon admitted that every record lable turned him down for a chance of playing his song. Jon wrote many, many songs including the very beginning of the groups chapter "Runnaway". A music station in New York City agreed to play the song. Jon needed to put a band together. Jon audition many people and invested his time and talents in the making of what is know today as Bon Jovi. The orignial group was made up of Jon on vocals, David Bryan on keyboards, Alec Jon Such on bass(who was later dismissed from the band in 1995.) Tico Torres on drums. Tico was already in a band called Frankie and the knockouts. David was in a band called Atlantic City Expressway. Finally, last but not least, the "king of swing" Richie Sambora" on lead guitars. Bon Jovi was formed.
Bon Jovi formed in 1983, all from New Jersey. all one thing in common. "Make it Happen". "Ride Cowboy Ride". With the bands debut album.Self-titled "Bon Jovi" two hits were released. "Runaway" and "She don''t know me". The band would tour opening up with acts like "The Scorpions", "Kiss" just to name a few. The band also released two videos from that album.
It wasn''t until the following year later in 1985,when Jon himself admitted that the video "Runaway" had nothing to do with the song at all. Jon and the band go on to explain that the guys "trusted" the music executives who are being paid alot of money to know what they are doing. Jon admits that obvisouly thats not true at all. "We trusted these guys, who are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to know how to make a video". Not so.
In 1985, 7800 degrees faherient is born. Jon explains in the interview in Japan exactly what does 7800 degrees means. "It is the hottest point in a volcanoe where, the center of a volcanoe where tempature reaches 7800 degrees. That is when rock begins to melt." The first single released from that album was "Only Lonley", followed by "In and Out of Love and finally "Silent Night".
History is made by the band. Without this album, the rest would not have been made possible. In 1986, "Slippery When Wet" is produced. Up to date, this album has sold over twenty-five million copies to date. Not bad. Rolling Stone Magazine rated this album as a fourth-generation metal album.A flop. This gave Bon Jovi the last laugh. With hits like "You give love a bad name,"" livin on a prayer "and" wanter dead or alive", who can argue. The best critics are the twenty-five million fans. Jon later on admits that the pizza parlor jury had a lot to do with picking the songs for the album.s ongs like"Never say Goodbye," or "Wild in the Streets" would of never had made it for the album had it not been for the "pizzie parlor jury".
The band would go later on to produce ten more albums ranging from "New Jersery", "Keep the Faith", "Cross Roads," Crush," These Days" and Lost "Highway".
The unthinkable happens. Jon shakes the band and record label by deciding to marry his long time sweet heart Dorothea Hurley. Jon marries her in a Las Vegas Chapel April 29,1989.
